Important Instruction Concerning the Filling of Hot Water Bottles<\/p>\n
The following precautions are to be observed:
\nTemperature–135′ F. for adults
\n120′ F. for children
\nTo be taken invariably with bath thermometer<\/p>\n
Leakage–Test carefully to ensure there is no leakage<\/p>\n
Covering–Ensure that the bottle is properly placed in the regulation cover.<\/p>\n
Never Fill Hot Water Bottles Directly From The Tap.<\/p>\n
Seriously Ill or Unconscious Patients are to be first covered with a blanket, to the outside of which hot water bottles will be applied. The positions of the hot water bottles should then be changed frequently.<\/p>\n
The above rules must be strictly adhered to in all cases.
