A portable mercury sphygmomanometer (.1a), used to measure blood pressure. Inserted into the lid of a hinged metal box (.1b) with a slim sleeve that could be manually inflated, this tool made measuring blood pressure a readily portable process. The sleeve, manual pressure bulb, and hosing are packed into the portable box.
