VGH February ‘76 50th Reunion – October 5-7th in Victoria BC

We would like to thank the VGH Alumnae for their generous bursary.
We had a total of 38 Classmates attend the event. All but two are now retired. Several came from Alberta, one from Atlanta and one from South Carolina. We really appreciated those that made the effort to come from so far away. It was a great time with lots of stories shared and much laughter.
We had a wonderful hotel stay at the Hotel Grand Pacific that is very centrally located on the inner harbour. The majority stayed in double rooms with two queen beds. Some flew in on Harbour Air that lands just across the street.
Monday evening after arriving we had a Meet and Greet in the hotel with door prizes and no problem making the minimum cash bar. The light Pacific Coast reception fare was excellent. Two of our classmates provided a reunion cake for dessert and one of our classmates had organized t-shirts with our names and the VGH crest on them.
Tuesday was our big day of the event. We had High Tea in the Bouchard Gardens Tea Room followed by a walk about of the Gardens that was in full bloom. The sun shone on us and it was spectacular.
That evening we had a group dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory situated just blocks from our hotel and in the old Chrystal Gardens.
Wednesday morning before departing we all had breakfast together at the Days Inn next to the hotel.
We have tried to have a reunion every 5 years but this one got rave reviews for sure.
It was decided that we would try to break off into smaller groups in areas that we live to get together more often until the next 5 year reunion.
