Class of Sept 1971- 4oth Reunion in 2011

Class of Sept 1971- 4oth Reunion in 2011.

Sept. 1971 A number of classmates who live on Vancouver Island have been getting together for lunch in the spring and fall since our 40th reunion in 2011.

We meet in each other’s homes and/or at the Quality Resort Bayside in Parksville, which is 1/2 way for those who live in Campbell River/ Comox and Victoria. We are planning our 43rd reunion for this Sept., having decided that at our age it’s better to get together more often than less!
Our reunion will be at the Quality Resort Bayside, Sept. 9&10th 2014.
We have contacted our 80 classmates by email and letter and hope to have a good turnout.

Many thanks,

The Class of Sep 1971 recently celebrated our 40th reunion. This was the 9th reunion held since we graduated. 39 classmates traveled to Parksville on Vancouver Island and stayed at a wonderful hotel. We enjoyed a Friday night wine and cheese, breakfasts both mornings and a Saturday night mingle and buffet. Of our 82 grads, 3 have passed on and were honoured with a plaque and a moment of remembrance during our weekend. Half of the class live in Metro Vancouver, 12 on Vancouver Island, 17 throughout BC, 4 in Alberta, 1 in Ontario and 6 in the US. Or farthest travelling attendee came from Louisiana! time was spent re-connecting, walking the beaches and visiting. retirement has happened for some, however many remain working. We plan on meeting again in 2014 and 2018 before our big 50th in 2021!
