VGH September 1965 50th Anniversary Reunion

The class members gathered at the Coast Plaza Hotel in Vancouver for a memorable weekend of sharing memories, laughter and fun. The Wine and Cheese.

Party commenced with our Traditional Torch arrival, was followed by supper and then dessert in the Hospitality Room with fruit and tiny cupcakes with VGH hats on top. Joan Kerr then presented individual goodie bags for each guest containing special items based on previous reunions.

A beautiful Saturday allowed us to meet with friends, tour the VGH site and then prepare for our dinner and entertainment. After a delicious dinner, the Cap Folding contest was held with some amazing creations, followed by a Jeopardy quiz created by Joan Kerr based on the Rules and Regulations given to us in 1962. Our theatrical team provided their version of The VGH Golden Girls. Throughout the evening door prizes were awarded and then another Quiz which consisted of 4 pages of multiple choice questions about the music of the 1960’s. A new feature was the Singing Squirelles  in smashing outfits who entertained us with 5 numbers. The evening ended with our version of The Adjustment Song.

Sunday we enjoyed the Annual Luncheon as guests of the VGH School of Nursing Alumnae Association.
